To pre-empt the comments: Korean does not use subject like English (or most European languages) does, it is more like topic. So it doesn’t really have pronouns as they don’t conjugate based on the subject the same way English does. It’s lazy translation either way, but that’s the reason it has the specific problem of using the wrong gender or subject.
