Possible alternate title: Trying to live a slow life in murim.
MC wants to live a slow life as a scholar, but the family pushes him to become a martial arts master. It’s funny at times, and is an enjoyable read but not action packed.

Pacing is slow: 44 chaps are out and there isn’t major event worth mentioning or big fight. Everything happens on the villain’s side, nothing from MC or the “good guys”, to a point where I think that the villain should be the MC.

MC is annoying: He has tremendous talent but doesn’t have the brain to support that. He is gifted at two things: one he is destined for and the other one is his passion. He wants to pursue passion, which is taboo in the clan he is in, so he tries to avoid by any means what he is destined for or suppose to do. Wasted potential imo. He only has some form of resolve at later chap (35-40), hence the slow pacing.
