Alrighty, I’m putting this to the side, potentially dropping it entirely.
It was a great story in the beginning, but the author has completely flopped it. I don’t agree with the comments that find it confusing, I feel like the story is easy enough to follow, but the time skips are completely ruining the story.
They serve absolutely no narrative purpose, and is only spoiling what is gonna happen, who lives, who doesn’t, and takes away any value from reading the story. Time skipping story telling is meant to be enticing to the reader, waving a carrot on the stick that makes the reader wanna know what led to that point. But instead, it’s just jumping around and telling us what happens in an uninteresting way.
I was genuinely invested in MCs growth, and wanted to see his response to the opportunity to become an apostle, and then you just skip 5 floors and give us a short narration of what happened and his thoughts throughout it? It just seems like the author is using the time skips as a cheap tool to avoid having to actually write the story. Even if we go back to the 6th floor and see what happens, what’s the point now? There is nothing to look forward to.
And I can’t continue reading a story where I can at any point expect the story to skip forward and spoil the story and plot in the least interesting way possible, just like it did here. It was a great story, but the author completely ruined it

Look at all these small brain idiots not being able to follow a simple story with time skips that enhance the story
Y’all need to grow up and use your brain or go back to kids comics

this is sure creative writing, time skip, remembering the old memories. but, this way may not the best, its confusing.
look at “Isekai Ojiisan”, (Isekai Uncle on Netflix)… thay way of story telling is better.

instead of time jump, what could have been way better is a montage with cheesy 80’s music.
just a few images of him training, fighting, resting, looking exhausted over beaten enemies, … with little narration bubbles of floor number.

Why is the narration so wack now.
