The “Princess Prophet” hates her powers. Yet she would like to be able to see more. Even with what she can see, this lets her see the probable future (without intervention) which gives her the ability to avoid it. This is plenty, and would be highly valuable.
If you received a power that told you your parents were going to perish in a horrible plane accident on the way to Hawaii, then you prevented them from boarding any international flights (and, sadly, are not in a position of power to prevent said-plane from taking off then crashing), I would think that would be plenty to be eternally grateful to your power. Yes, seeing the wreckage and the people inside would be horrifying, but that is truly a small price to pay for saving the lives of the ones you love.
