Several months of planning by the anti-Alchemist Guild Branch Master, only to lead to thinking about poison? To a MC that’s basically immune to it?
Story would be better if the main guy wasnt dumb af.

Oh… I always love a good detective story.
The person used an ingredient, which is used in an antidote poition, meaning the person knows what they are made of. Usually the people who know that are A) alchemists or B) adventurers. As alchemists are usually locking themselves up, therefore they have a hard time to get such information, so we can strike that from our list, as the person who is trying to warn him is most likely an adventurer (though there is also a small chance that civilians got to know the ingredients too).
Now, we only need to shrink the circle to those who got involved with him like got healed by his poition or got her sword repaired and… yes-yes, I know. It’s probably Mystalt who warned him and the one after his life is her old/ex-guild leader.
