I almost forgot this, but for once I see a MC that explains why ancient mages could use many kinds of magic, while modern mages are limited to just 1 element. Sets him apart from all other ancient mages in modern worlds that don’t bother investigating the reasons for modern mages only being able to use limited magic.
In other words the MC is a Vampire (using blood for magic)
Admitting lack of knowledge and asking questions about the world around you… yay!
Way better than… the mc who asks no questions about a sudden new world, makes assumptions about everything he sees. (Thereby answering no reader questions)
blindly running around doing whataver any woman he meets tells him to do, while being beat up by everyone he meets unless they threaten someone he likes and hardly knows…
