Tono No Kanri O Shite Miyou

This is not quite a power fantasy, better to call it a convenience fantasy aimed at immature boys. MC does get all the power, all the wealth, all the girls, but it’s all so easy. The way blessings flood at him, I don’t think he could beat them off with a stick. There is plenty of ‘leveling up’ and ‘growing closer’, but nothing that feels meaningful. The only conflicts are with cardboard cutout villains; nobody has conflicting goals or questionable loyalty or hard decisions. There is one story arc I would call subtle, the rest is very simple.

In place of adult concerns, there is a LOT of fanservice, it could reasonably be called too much. IMHO, there are some chapters that qualify as censored hentai. Also IMHO, I’d estimate that it’s fully 50% of the appeal of the manga.

It sounds like I’m very down on this book, but I’m not, I enjoyed it and continue to read it eagerly (Chap. 89 so far). However, I am under no illusions about what’s going on here; this is pure wish fulfillment. It could have been much more; the premise is interesting, the characters are likeable, the inconsistent magic system is fun, the larger world story could have been epic. The art is exceptional, compellingly framed, full of detail and often beautiful. It’s clearly done with either care or great professionalism. I recommend this if you can stand the fanservice and low story expectations.

Summary: Isekai kid falls into a pit of blessings and drowns in liquid satisfaction. He gets possession of a tower, but it comes with the deed to the world and all that is in it, and also citizenship in Asgard
