66th Manhwa Review

Plot 6.5/10 (several plot holes and the story doesn’t follow its own rules)
Uniqueness, 7.3/10 (has a few elements that I haven’t seen before, but overall its still not that unique)
Onion Cutting Ninja, confusion
Character development, N/A, characters feel like they don’t or barely develop at all from when introduced
Plot development…. no comment…
Side Characters, 7.3/10 (Not like completely terrible, but not great either)
Romance, like small hints I guess, but unlikely
Art style, 8.7/10 (Finally something good)
Violence, we have that
Comedy, we have a couple moment here and there, then again its not a comedy XD
MC, 7.5/10 (Driven by Revenge and his personality is Confusing)
Adorable Creatures, WE HAVE ONE LETS GOOOO!!!
Villains, Disgusting power hungry mongooses
Plot Armor, Pretty Prevalent
Memorability, not exactly going remember this as it lacks “standing out capabilities”

Depressing Backstory, You want to sympathize, but it feels like it lacks depth as you get a little context and thats it

I read to the current chapter (chapter 66)

This one is a status window, rebirth, tower climbing manhua.
It does nothing original and has VERY sloppy writing… That said, it does a decent job at being a time killer. If you’re bored and need something easy to just read, you could read this.

One thing I liked is that the MC very strong for his level, but not the strongest. He gets multiple allies after a while and is sometimes weaker than them too.

Art is also great.

My main complaint is the sloppy writing… The MC is just really lucky all the time, powerups just fall from the sky, and the MC can bend the rules when it’s convenient. There’s really annoying side characters.The MC’s powers aren’t well defined, and he often just uses new abilities/moves out of nowhere. There are “plotholes” too, or more like writing mistakes?

An op assassin gets hired to kill MC. They follow MC for 40 tower floors, attacks him while he’s with allies and then decides not to kill him and make a bet that gives themself no benefit or reward for winning against MC. Then gets severely punished for losing against MC.

One of MC’s allies gets captured, sold to a slave auction, then the SAME person who caught the MC’s ally tries to buy them from the auction again immediately after.

various other issues just raise questions throughout but aren’t as severe as the ones above.

LMAO. The way the author go about the fights is kinda funny. They fight the normal way -> MC wins -> opponents revives -> MC plot armor. They’ll do everything to give the MC plot armor

I dropped it from around chapter 41-45 as this story dont fallow it’s own rules of world building. Some bounty hunter wants to go 1v2 and dont want that the mc use summons to fair play conditions and also that nobody dies in the end but from start start to use rail gun then drops nukes and matter bombs and never mind that the bounty hunter dont even have any penalties for going down from like 600th floor to 50th floor while talk big on wanting to face strong opponents. Like when you go from 600th level to 50 and expect them to be any match or power in the first place is already crazy as heck.

For that reason i dont like world building cause they do a lot of it while never fallow the rules of their own world building

To anyone who wants to read this, let me warn you that all the rules are bullshit, the Gods/Demons won’t even notify the Ninestar that the MC possessed someones body even though he pretty much told them that he’s that DeathStar from the start. And all the jokes are cringe. The Ninetails baby isn’t cute like some commenters would tell you that it’s the cutest thing. And if you somehow have any opinions about that Gods/Demons/tails I’ve told you about, there’s a rescue group on the comment section that would bash you and tell you how to think. (What’s this? A commy manhwa). Just be prepared. Anyways it’s garbage. Don’t believe the rating.

Not bad. That’s the best way to describe this manwha. It’s not overly ambitious nor is it entirely predictable with its plot line. Though I will say, the “mid” chapters (~8-18) are pretty weak aspects of this due to the lack of enticement or development in the characters/plot (I almost dropped it).
World-building? Character Development? Diversity? Ehhh, I can’t say that there’s much of any. What seems like the only major attempt of world building done is the first chapter’s introduction, but from that point onward, the story leaves empty holes in the details of the tower and etc.
I can’t say I expected much from the characters, and I didn’t get much. The mc is the classic/basic manwha “bad-boy” type where he will do lowly acts to get power/his revenge. However, I can confidently say that there’s a small bit of development in his personality by become empathetic and sparing of his comrades. Side characters are where it gets sort-of interesting as they do feel like they possess a personality outside of a one-dimensional box and contribute some value towards the mc or plot line. The bar for characters isn’t set very high for necromancer/tower tropes as most of the time there are none so it’s something.
This manwha’s experience does feel like it’s following a basic outline of what to and not to do for a “big” hit which of course attracts and detracts readers. I don’t mind it as although this feels “safe,” the author did enough to have characters that have a mysterious aura around them that I would like to see the end of.

I’m interested to see how they do the time skips. If they don’t do them this is probably gonna bomb, 15 chapters on floor 5 will take approx. 3,000 chaps provided they proceed with the same pace. And seeing as this isn’t a manhua I don’t have faith it’ll ever reach that number

This manhwa is mediocre at best, it’s generic in every way possible. The MC’s personality boils down to him being strong and badass. It checks all the generic boxes, the hidden class, tower, earning privileges only those at floor 100 can have before floor 1. Make it make sense…
