Blade of Retribution

As of chapter 20.

TLDR : Mc is not as dumb as he seems. I know the first chapters convince you otherwise, which i perfectly understand. But give it time, He shows facets you would not expect later on. Some stories take time to grow on you, and for you to enjoy reading them, so give it a try, because i see glimpses of, not a perfect, but nevertheless good story.

Real review:
I understand why the first chapters might be infuriating and unbearable. Seeing your family die without being able to save them even if you are really strong, which mc is, is extremely infuriating. The reader feels it, but can understand if there is substantial reason to why. But then you are presented with a “realistic lens” from where it does not feel satisfying and almost no reason at all to torture yourself to read a depressing without climax nor revenge story. And for a revenge story, to my opinion, that is a very risky way of doing things. Not necessarily wrong, but one should be very careful.
Fortunately, i think author did do a good job at handling that “satisfyingness” aspect of the genre, and i suspect other moments will also come on later. It is a little slow but let author cook, and give him a chance.
