Summary

A brief description of the manhwa Death God:

Jongli Chu, a warrior of the Death Heavenly Sect who killed Hwang Jung to avenge his older brother. In order to avoid the pursuit of Death Heavenly Sect, he looked to an assassin of the Death Soul Agency, Crimson Assassin, for help and got swept into a huge mess known as the Obliteration.

One of the best manga/manhua that ive read, exellant characters and artstyle. There is notbing that comes to mind for it to be anything less than 5/5

It has that “grounded” feel to it that not much murim series’s hold. The only two I can think of are this one and Martial Wild West at the top of my head.
To be honest, this might be my favorite Murim series I’ve read.

The story is pretty good from what I saw, but I am not into this for the exact that GoldDragonLord likes it

“No qi/aura/fancymoves”. If you are expecting characters using magical moves to kill each other or use sword magic to destroy mountains (like I was), you will get disappointed.

If you don’t care about that, then you should definitely read

I’m surprised how no review so far is praising this series yet. Holy hell, some panels made me so immersed, I felt like I had to hold my breath for some of the chase scenes. The art’s amazing, although it’s trying to emulate that “rough” feel. Characters don’t have that cute anime character feel, they’re raunchy, ugly, wicked looking. There’s the feeling of realism in some chapters, kids getting spanked by their mothers, rats roaming the street, drunks roaming the street, it makes it feel so immersive to me.

Series’ like this and Way to Heaven are the reason why I love the Murim series so much. This series paired with some Yuki Hayashi OST’s made me feel like I was watching an anime. I don’t usually sing such high praises for series’ that are still in their first 10 chapters, but this series is definitely going to be something great. Overall, an amazing start to a series.
