Everyone Else is A Returnee

Since there were plenty of comments on upload schedule but no actual review in sight even after “load[ing] more comments” God knows how many times, I’ll put in a stand-in review for the time being even though I’ve only reach 5 chapters as of this writing:

First off, looking at the title and description, I was half-expecting a dark comedy where practically everyone other than MC (including the elderly) is a kick-ass adventurer and only MC is a hapless “villager”-level wretch, and all his days are marked by decidedly close brushes with death as he desperately gets by with nothing but his wits at his disposal to survive not only the threat of monsters but also other humans who would be overpowered compared to him and find it all to easy to exploit him if they found out. Long story short, it’s almost the opposite case here – while everyone else is away for what seems like 10 long years, some unexplained time-distortion effect means that the MC effectively has close to 1000 years to train himself physically and amass unimagined levels of worldly knowledge to (over-)compensate for his inability to develop mana control during this time. Not only that, when everyone else returns, they are back to their pre-transmigration levels of physical and magical abilities and have to start from scratch while the MC retains his superhuman levels of physical development. This isn’t spoiling much since all of this gets established in about 3 chapters.

None of this is to necessarily say it’s a bad manhwa, since the developments (so far at least) are presented with no shortage of humor and anticlimax. However, it remains to be seen if the manhwa retains the same level of humor as the story progresses, or if the tone changes dramatically later on, for better or worse.
