ok idk what’s the negative comments are about. character development doesn’t just BOOM YOU’RE DIFFERENT NOW. it’s a slow process and most important is that the MC doesn’t go back to the version he was before.
Leticia was hinted at being possessed since the early chapters and we know this THERE’S A PANEL SHOWING IT after she tryna figure out why she was acted so harsh towards the MC.
The only issue here’s no Romance since the MC has the awareness of a Pyramid’s sandstone block. the “Harem” tag and no “Romance” tag so just know that the story won’t progress in any direction towards the girls and just MC tryna follow the flow of whatever BS the arc giving him.
after chapter 5 till 41, theres no maturity development within mc just like always

After reading 3 chapters of the manga I realized that I had definitely read some of the web novel earlier. My note on why I stopped reading it stated “An extremely long story – not interested in seeing such an awful piece of crap childhood friend again.”

sad to see no update from this series in a while, it is good
This is difficult to review, it’s a weird mix of good and poor elements. Some very good story ideas, some good art and characters and pacing, some fair worldbuilding, and then the clumsy execution tends to be poor. The characters don’t really have growth arcs, they just take turns having exposition chapters to explain their actions. I was continually mildly annoyed but never wanted to stop reading, in fact, I never stopped hoping it would improve. A couple of good twists and some genuine high points in the action carry it along. I recommend in my bewilderment.
Summary: Abusive Hero keeps childhood friend captive as a flunky in her party, but pushes too far and he bails. Then he discovers that he’s far stronger than he imagined and she had other motives, and also a harem tries to glom onto him. Mysteries abound!
