Summary
A brief description of the manhwa Got Dropped into a Ghost Story, Still Gotta Work:
I sacrificed my precious vacation to attend a pop-up event of a certain modern fantasy I loved so much.
And on that very day, I got transported into that fantasy world.
As none other than a newly hired employee at a renowned major corporation! A dream workplace with tons of benefits, a high salary, and kind, competent supervisors.
Using my knowledge of the world, I quickly climb the corporate ladder!
But am I happy, you ask?
Please, let me go back home.

Read the first couple of chapters. The story flow is great, it kept me hooked. The art is consistently high quality as far as I’ve seen, although some visuals are overdone.
I’ve read horrors before, I’m fifty chapters into a different one of the same genre but this feels especially dark.
Despite the top-tier, scp foundation like-world… it’s hard to read. I shouldn’t have to fight myself to continue a story, this js isn’t for me. 4/5
I’ve come to like the series so much, I’ve binged more than two hundred chapters, even reading the raw unrefined MTLs.
It is so immersive and I’ve come to like the twists and emotions, though my only criticisms is Kim’s… repeated mention of his cowardice.
Yes, it makes him funny, but it can be irritating as shit. But it is still a very good read, learning new writing styles from it.
If Kim Dojka Were In Another World
I dunno the guys who said that this manwa was awefull but take from a veteran in reading manwas; u are totally missing out if u haven’t read this manga. It’s totally peak!!!!
It’s good, the summary and chapter 0 are nonsensical and should be ignored. I’ll see how it develops, but it really enters a groove around 10 chapters in.
I’d describe it as horror themed escape rooms where the penalty for failure is death. I’ve read stuff like it though it’s an interesting concept that stands out well enough. SCP is a likely inspiration, though I can’t speak on it further as I don’t know much about that.
The company setting as of these first 20 chapters seems to more or less be fluff. The world building is solid though and there’s strong internal consistency in the setting.
up there with orv
For hesitant readers:
This is one of those one-in-a-million stories that uses its premise to its fullest. The main character’s knowledge gives him an advantage, but doesn’t make him so overpowered that it gets stale, and this keeps the ghost stories frightening, as you really don’t know for sure who’s safe. Secondly, this story has quite an interesting world instead of a copy pasted dungeon-system world. This keeps it from feeling fresh and prevents it from feeling like a world you’ve already seen before. The main character describes himself as cowardly, but it never prevents the plot from happening in a way that feels frustrating to the reader. The story also avoids feeling too repetitive by consistently having new and interesting developments to the main character’s story. There’s also enough mystery around to always keep you on the edge of your seat. 10/10 plot wise.
Talking more about the manhwa side of things, the art is great, especially for the ghosts. You can tell that great care went into making the ghosts really feel unnerving, which adds to the unpredictability of them. While an art style is objective, I don’t think any reader could see any issues with the way characters are drawn so that shouldn’t be an issue. And no issues with translation so far. They did change Roe Deer to Noru, but it’s just a difference in naming, no issue. 8.7/10
If you’re a scaredy cat like me, no worries, the ghosts look a little frightening, but this story focuses more on tension and anxiety, rather than pure jumpscares, so no worries there either.
Also, the side characters in this story are written pretty well, they aren’t forgotten by the story, and they all feel like real people.7.6/10
That’s my review, so in short, about a 9/10, please do give it a try!
Ignore the weird yaoi shit people are talking about, none of that remotely exists here.
If you want a manhwa about an MC experiencing the SCP universe and surviving through quick wit and drama, you’ll find it here.
Unique read that isnt yet another Genius Swordsman/Necromancer/Gate Hunter copycat with system crutches. Highly worth the read.
Very unique.
Weird setup , Fresh story, Chill Mc
my rating 9/11
