Hybrid

I mean, it’s a manhwa for sure… I can’t really tell whether I like it or not. It’s the type of story that just throws you in.

I can’t tell if the translation is off but I don’t really get what’s going on. So far, all I’ve picked up is that the MC is an Angel/Demon hybrid (His mom is a demon & his dad is an angel.) Angel/Demon hybrids are referred to as Abraxas’. On the Abraxas’ 19th birthday, they begin to awaken their true power, some more than others. As such, both Demons and Angels have to respond to the birth of such a powerful being on their 19th birthday by persuading them to come to their side one way or another.
 
From what I’ve seen, they either use awakening, Abraxas, and Apex Hybrid interchangeably to refer to the “final” form for whatever the MC is and will become once he awakens his true power.

(Just my personal thoughts) I’m guessing there’s other hybrids if the Abraxas is stated to be the Apex of them all..? I’m guessing weaker hybrids are those of lower grade demons/angels. In that case, the MC’s parents might both be top ranking in their race. That’s all I can come up with to try to think of how other hybrids would be inferior to the MC & why it’s such a rarity to see an Abraxas’ being born.

Overall, a bit confusing but it’s only up to chapter 4 as of writing this review so I’m not too hung up on the current state of the manhwa right now. (As long as it doesn’t continue being confusing in the future.)
