oh i remember watching the anime a while back, but how tf has it still not caught up yet lol
It’s still not fully caught up to the anime…
this is something i’d read again and again
MC doesn’t overcome. He doesn’t judge, he doesn’t work through any problem, he doesn’t appear to really engage in any kind of growth behavior. He doesn’t even fully respect the privilege his cheat gives him enough to keep it top secret. He’s the pinnacle of fence sitting spiritually weak main character syndrome you typically find in so many manga/manwa of this type. He’s a Marty Stu.
There are distinctly positive notes to the development of this story. Truly, if any of the threads began by the author were legitimately explored further we might’ve seen a huge boost in the character development of each individual. They are not important, though. The depth isn’t there, and the nuance in each person is drowned out by their outward worship or hatred for MC. Does the princess have any political motivations for wanting to have MC’s babies right on the spot? Nah, she’s just the petulant child of a weak father. Does the special school he’s going to or the royal court for that matter introduce MC to any complexities in the plot that would require more than constant dick riding? As you’ll discover, no.
I want to root for him. Maybe the novel has explored these characters’ lives better than the manga, but as for what we’ve got here I just can’t say I’d read this if I was interested in some kind of complex hero’s journey type of manga. In essence, the journey of MC was over and done with the moment he entered his wardrobe and came out the other side, everything was done for him from there and all people loved him without question.
If you’re interested in that kind of ride, I recommend this manga to you. There are plenty of fun moments in what little we have now that somewhat carry over to the anime adaptation. As for me though, I’d really like to take part in seeing the hero’s ascension. I’d really like to see how, despite having gained everything he lacked in a night, the main character still experiences growing paints as he rises to fit the vast space he just inherited. His family life, the complex romantic drama that could unfold (if you can even name all the women that are in his harem now), the ground’s really fertile for this kind of story.
I don’t mind MC being OP. I really object to him behaving like a naïve toddler that never personally grows despite having everything he could ever wish for hand delivered to him on a silver platter. That kind of oversight to me is really hard to fix after you’ve gone this far in the story because you’d have to re-work the entire structure of events to accommodate the author’s short-sightedness in the beginning.
The visuals are great. I really enjoy the art style they went for and it fits pretty well with the overarching theme of the story. I think there’s actually really nice attention to detail for the character designs as well, which stand out compared to similarly designed manga/anime. Like another user said, somehow the movements are better in the manga than the anime, despite no moving parts.
I give it a 3/5.
The manga somehow has better animation quality than the anime
It’s an ok story albeit (ab)using all possible (stereo)typical tropes.
Have to say that I really like this one, but I’m very worried about whether it will last though. Splitting worlds is very tough to accomplish in a story as it creates way too many loose ends, so here’s to hoping it can stay on course and remain a cute and fun story..
The anime isn’t great as the novel or the manga
There is a light novel that is the source material for both the Manga and the Anime. It is way ahead of this stuff. So go read the Light Novel if you want to know what happens next.
I really like the story, and now more since there’s an anime for it!
Unfortunately, the release of new chapters is soooooooooooooooooo freaking SLOW!
I didn’t like it same old average mc became handsome strong and always be in the right place in the right time to show how great he is just boring cringey and forced harem i hate it
First 2 chapters are too cringe to handle. Maybe the actual story is good, but i cant do this to myself.
When will there be Chapter 24 Coming out pretty soon I hope.
All I can say a Cringey Isekai that if those who likes cringey/illogical/forced stuff will like but as for me dropped.
It’s still not fully caught up to the anime
