it would be a good read, but updates are way too slow, don’t bother getting invested into the story as over 5 years only 35 chapters are on here. on mangadex it says series has been on hiatus since june 2024
This is romantic, cute, and horny, which is not always the best combination, but I loved it. The first few chapters seem like a repetitive fluff romance, but the story evolves as more characters are added. There’s a May-December romance at the center of it, but both characters are working adults. It does have jokes about the age gap being inappropriate, but it’s clear from the beginning that nobody actually thinks that’s the case. In spite of the constant reminders, I found myself forgetting the gap and focused on the cuteness that evokes those feelings of longing that young adults are swimming in. Recommend with a caveat, it does get horny a lot.
Summary: First year Knight who was the top student at the Knight’s Academy falls hard at first sight for the no-nonsense Captain who is always too busy for love. Captain is afraid to be vulnerable, novice isn’t mature enough to be a full partner. Hilarity ensues until they both grow up.

This went from interesting to meh to fucking horrible real fucking quick. The start was great with a rather wholesome romance manga with action mixed into it. The reactions were great and light hearted. While there was a age gap, the plot was more comedic than sexual.
But then it got worse. The plot went completely off the tracks, I wouldnt believe you if you said chapter 34.1 and chapter 1 was the same manga. Needless side characters combined with a female lead getting more obnoxious by the day leads to this manga detering any reader that has come in hopes of more plot similar to the first chapters.

Slight action mixed with a wholesome romance; what could possibly go wrong? Well, a lot of things: the uncomfortable art, drawn-out plot, and anticlimactic action scenes.
Besides for the grueling age gap of 13 years (I don’t mind age gaps) between the mc and fmc, the art-style for the mc is entirely nerve-racking. The mc’s age is 16 years old but his character build is of a 12 year-old, which makes the shota bait even more obvious. I sort of wished the mc grew and changed more and more as the chapters went by, but it doesn’t happen and when it did it wasn’t noticeable.
Incorporating some mystery and action into a romance centered plot line usually never bids well, and it didn’t for this solely because the action is too minimal, and the plot for the build-up to the action either comes out of nowhere or is rushed.
Reading this manga is a commitment because it starts off wholesome/interesting, but loses its charm the longer it progresses. Although there’s a change-up in plot or romance, the plot becomes boring while the manga feels like it should’ve reached an end. Most of the incentive to continue reading this manga after the ~25 chapter mark is because of the already put in time reading this.
