y’all complaining about MC beating his former guard, MC said guard is much better at protecting than attacking, guard didn’t fight with killing intent either, wasn’t surprised bc MC is so much stronger than him but bc he underestimated mc, and most importantly they didn’t use QI or whatever it’s called here, it was a simple spar where skill mattered more than seniority

I wished MC to run for his life in this sparring, I’m a little disappointed.
The author ripped him off of his cool factor.
I mean he’s still really strong and his loyalty is inspiring, and I really like his character, but in my opinion it would be better if he were shown as impregnable wall for MC at this point in the story…
