The characters are too mid for the pacing to be this slow. Slow pacing is always more about the characters, so if they dont get some massive development soon, then this deserves no more than 4/5.
i see the no.1 thing i hate abt this manhwa is that the MC is TOO LAW ABIDING ,to the point that its so annoying. I mean in real life.
Murim slop like all the murim bullshit
IF YOU WANT INSTANT DOPAMINE HIGH AVOID THIS MANHWA. This is a slow build up,and great art manhwa. Overall good if you have the patience 5/5 potential
Ppl complaining about why giving rating it low. let’s be honest, nothing new here, MC lost his cultivation trying to regain his former self. It’s a generic murim plot beside revenge story.
Also, pacing really slow, chapter 8 and it feels like it is still in character introduction. Usually in 3 chapters for a good story, it’ll somehow gives us hint for what direction the story goes, but this some seems no specific goal, just train get strong again, villain? being under-estimated, beat it, nothing more generic than that.
You can compare this to “Reincarnated Heavenly Demon”, they got the same vibes, but this one is more generic. Hero to zero, Zero to hero generic story with touch of modern manhwa art style.
Don’t listen to PPL praising the story coz there’s nothing major happening yet. Decide after the end of an Arc but with how slow the story progress, that probably take 20+ chapters before one major plot happen.
I honestly came into this not expecting much as I could tell it was set in Murim and I’m not too trusting of comments under Murim manhwas but I’m thoroughly impressed by how much I got hooked on the story very quickly.
It’s a Hero to Zero to Hero story. Our MC starts again from the bottom of the food chain after losing all of his power, attempting to fix the incompetence of the Murim alliance that he’s met with, allowing others to redeem themselves.
Basic Summary
Our MC was once renowned as the strongest martial artist in the Murim alliance, but during one major scale battle he was taken down, having his entire dantain destroyed, even having the martial physician take a look at him and confirming he can no longer live as a martial artist. Everyone who knew of his former glory days hold him in slight reverence, but that doesn’t mean he’s able to hold his old position anymore- being demoted constantly as he keeps on disobeying orders and wrecking havoc among the hierarchy of the Murim alliance despite no longer having any significant power left.
Our MC is stripped of his role once again, being demoted to a basic martial artist in name, being sent to an administrative branch on the outskirts of a shabby province, compiling the complaints of the local citizens. In this new position, our MC begins to notice the condition of the people in this new location, they’re constantly being extrorted by local gangs that exploit the local mercahnts and citizens for protection fees.
Sensing the need for change as the complaints from the citizens fall on deaf ears as the larger powers at hand are known for murdering entire families without discrimination, our MC begins to press further on the incompetence by both the branch leader and his superior, re-igniting their ambitions to become true martial artists, fighting for justice despite being in a neglected branch of the Murim alliance with rampant corruption running amok the land, with superiors that actively work with criminals.
Notes
The MC is actually pretty strong still. He’s able to fight with martial artists that aren’t too strong still, being able to kill people with a kill. He still trains intensely every day in the hopes of being able to overcome the helplessness of his situation, regaining his former glory and put an end to the evils that run among the Murim.
Of course 30 sec Attention span are giving low rating to this peak
it’s pretty boring, I know that it is too early to judge but if, the pacing continued as it is, this manhwa will kill the readers out of boredom. There’s nothing new here to begin with and zero “wow” moment. Got the vibes of slow life / drama but should’ve action-thrilling. 4/10 so far.
surprisingly good so far
This is a 10/10 murim manhwa with great plot rather than op mc doing anything he wants. This story will take time to grow and some reta**ds are down voting this because they want to read super power slop.
This one is great 8 chapters in!
It’s normal
I don’t know why people are giving this low scores, because so far this is an extremely promising new manhwa.

its pacing it a bit slow at the start, but the MC is ice cold, calculating, percise, and vicious, a true no bullshit MC. so far
