Reincarnation of the Veteran Soldier

I’ve read til the latest one (Ch. 68) and I can see why people find this series great but the MC has traits or plot contrivances I find highly annoying that I had to drop it. Like, its almost Fairy Tail 2.0.

Like, fighting til you collapse might be cool for the first time but it gets stupid the more the MC does it. It isn’t cool that the plot armor is blatantly used to save him multiple times. It looks like looking at a kid punching walls and we’re supposed to be amazed because the MC works hard? Instead of Power of Friendship, its Power of ‘Angry = Powerful’. Oh, you’ll see a lot of MC going faint.

There’s a big plot point in the early-middle where “blasphemous” people are killed. The manhwa shows that to you. So why then if the MC does it, he gets spared? Oh right. Plot armor and it isn’t just him. His friend too is somehow spared. I’ve read a lot of trash Manhua/Manwha that has shit like this but I ignore some of those because the MCs are often overpowered or “lucky” but somehow this one is blatant for some reason.

It’s this small things that build up that makes the whole reading experience more of an annoyance rather than me actually enjoying it. I feel like the author is trying to write a story way above his intellect that the execution relies a lot on plot armor rather than the character themselves winning cause of their skill/knowledge.

It’s not a bad read but personally, its not my taste.
