However, perhaps due to his self-destructive lifestyle, he dies of a heart attack… And when he next opens his eyes, he finds himself reincarnated as the main character of the very game he had been playing before his death! Phillippines politics be like

The 3.6 it has now is a right description, it’s not truly innovative or engaging, but it’s not a mass produced recycled story;
Immidetly of the bat, I thought “oh this must be like ”The lazy’s prince guide of raising a nation out of debt” but I was positivly suprised reading the first chapter.
First of all, yes it is an isekai, but not of some no-life who wasted his life, it’s of a divorced man who became depressed, after being cheated on, and losing custody of his child. His saddnes, feeling of betrayl, him becoming a broken man, or maybe deep seeded sourness and untrusfulness, following only what was right not what he wanted, marrying a woman he didn’t know and working in the japanese death parade that is their often unethical companies policies, made him spiral even deeper;
He went to work, returned late to his run down appartment, smoked and played indie games. Hatred, despair, and maybe feeling of inferiority made him enjoy the game “The survival strategies of a corrupt aristocrat” where the player is supposed to be the evil guy yet balance it so he isn’t killed. Then ome day, when playing the game he feels a pain in his chest, and dies?
No, you know it’s an isekai. Obviously he wakes as the protagonist of the game in a bed with a maid by the side of it. Story happens (at this point of time it’s only up to chapter four point two).
He is not a villian (if that’s a type of story you’re looking for), he is selfish, untrusting, and cautious, filled with uncertanty but his carefulness in not raising a death flag makes him a good lord.
