Summary

Rista, the goddess of Rista, calls on a hero from another dimension to help her save another fantasy world, like some kind of RPG. The hero by the name of Saya turns out to be mighty and beautiful, but at the same time incredibly and even too careful. For example, he usually buys three sets of armor: one wears on itself, the second – just in case if the first one breaks, the third – in case the second one breaks. And he takes his battles with monsters very seriously and does not spare no effort, even if he has some weak slug in front of him, – just in case.

I got to chapter 26, and might go farther. There is eventually a smidgen of character development, and the annoying character traits get toned down a little. There’s a little sexy, and some of the jokes eventually land. I really laughed twice; at a joke insult in chapter 20, and at a comment after chapter 24. It was still a pretty grim march. I guess it’s just not quite offensive enough to make me quit.

I can’t recommend it, but it’s not so terrible you couldn’t enjoy it. I’d say it’s between 2 and 3 stars, if you’re really hard up…

Preliminary (ch6) evaluation, subject to update: The concept is cleverish, but the execution is joyless. It doesn’t help that it’s completely dedicated to the title gag, so none of it is remotely serious. There’s no stakes, so the action is meaningless. There’s no character development, so nobody to root for. Worst of all, every character we spend time with is unpleasant. There’s a lot of room to improve, and maybe it does later, I’m cautiously extending it’s probation.

Well I’m having hopes the Manga catches up to the novel. Because let me tell you, I know you all are sobbing for Seiya’s backstory, but boy oh boy, you are going to be hating on him all too soon.
