Terrible writing, with missing details and plot holes galore. Might be more enjoyable for a grade schooler with no attention to detail.
PS ready for the down votes from them pea brain minions
wasted 4 months to only put out some of the worst chapters

Now I won’t go out and say The Hero Returns is bad, but I also won’t say it’s one of the best manwhas of its genre. Simply put, I didn’t bookmark it because of how basic the story is, and I had no attachments towards any of the characters. In the manwha, time skips are used; I personally love time skips but only when they are done right. Sadly, this manwha uses them at the wrong times and mostly for no reason. An author should only use a time skip when a clear setting, purpose, and character has been established but neither of the three happened. Instead, time skips were used to aid the mc’s progression, which is a doubled-edged sword: There is an overpowered main character but none of the effort the reader’s see. Besides for the lack of conscious for power progression, I do find the protagonist quite pleasant/tolerable due to his nature: he doesn’t disregard the old owner’s situation nor is baselessly heartless to people and judge them for their past. However, there are times when the mc is straight out incompetent/rash despite formerly being the strongest. Along with this, he doesn’t nurture/scout people who had a great figure in his previous life, but that would technically bring the story into a different direction so I guess it’s not that big of a deal. Either way, it’s another solo centered main character that gets overpowered one way or another. Wish they developed more of the side characters, but the author is trying to ride off the coattails of op solo mcs. If you are reading 10 or more manwhas like this, then carry on since you’ll forget about it until there’s a new chapter, but if you enjoy typical manwhas, you might like this.

This is good. I’m in love with the artstyle
4/5. Only because some of the choices that the MC makes are random without any decent reason behind it (ex. going to that outbreak thing to play murder mystery. The people there had no attachment to the MC and it seemed like it was spurred out of nowhere). I liked the relationships between the characters. I can feel the wholesomeness and at the same time some conflict with other characters. I think the story is decent… However, I don’t know what it is but I feel like there’s something missing in the story that makes it go from decent to great.
It’s basically like a downgraded version of solo levelling with a little bit of tutorial tower and return. The art is great, story ok.
forget the other comments cause this manhwa is good. solid 5 star
Ah Scratch that. I give it a 3.5, since MC isn’t some edgy guy who tries to solo everything.
This is a solid 3. It’s a carbon copy of other manwhas. It’s neither really good nor really bad. The cliche story about a returner and in a hunter world. Same cliches you ever see, they enter a ”dungeon” and turns out the dungeon becomes more dangerous as soon as they enter. Literally seen this cliche in other 4 manwhas here, and I’m sure I’m forgetting a few.
Despite being such a blatant copy it’s not really bad, the pace of the story is decent, and some of the subplots are decent too, if predictable as f.
The story sins far too much of not explaining concepts and jumping in the bandwagon of the common lore. It explains nothing of it’s system for attributes and skills , nor offers nothing to compare. MC is supposedly way stronger than a Rank C, yet , his stats are barely better than when he just started. How strong is a Rank B then ?
Turns out there are classes in this or specific positions, you will not learn that until chapter 16 tho.
Oh did I mention MC gets a ”Mysterious Egg” that no one knows what will hatch from it ? ( oh but we know … ).
Yeah, it’s kind of a decent read, just, don’t have ANY expectation of it being original or subversive in any way. You really need to turn off your brain to enjoy this, but if you can, it’s decent. Not good or bad, just decent.
Four chapters in and everything is just very bland. Not once was I excited about anything. Dropped.
Its just good. Nothing else to say. its worth a read and if you hate on it because of the similarities to other manhwas then well you are plain wrong for doing so. This is great i recommend it!!
So much omitted from the novel.. I strongly recommend reading it actually
good :Like:
good soup
Holly cow! I was expecting some kind of cliché crap. I mean too much manhuas have the same title and the story is basically the same. But this is actually gold. I’ve read 20 chapters and I’m already waiting for more.
Art is great, mc is intelligent and strong and the story is original (I’ve read lots of hero returning in the past manhuas but this one wasn’t boring at all)
It has a lot of potential so 5/5
