Demon in Mount Hua

Personally, I don’t like it very much for any other country culture to make manhwa or manhua related to Chinese stories about cultivation and stuffs cuz I always think they don’t understand anything about it. But I decided to give this a try. The first few chapters have proven what I have believed so far is correct.

There’s no other country to author and illustrate Chinese story beside Korea. And they did it a really bad job. “Wudang….” “Mount Hua…”… Yeah I know it’s related to Chinese cultivation sects, but there’re more to “Wudang and Mount Hua” sect. Even the traditional Chinese buildings, outfits designs, and stuffs are all bad. Sometimes, it doesn’t have to be anything related to the already-contents or history. Like Martial Peak for example, it’s a straight up best manhua out there containing cultivation and action stuffs, but there’s no such thing as “Wudang… Mount Hua… Shaolin…”

Not to mention the quality of illustration is straight up trash. And…. like mentioned, those designs on outfits and buildings are top tier sh*t…

Have you ever seen a Japanese manga or anime about Chinese cultivation sects and stuffs?? That’s cuz, first: they wanna promote Japanese culture instead, second: they’re influenced by western culture, and third: they know they don’t understand much related to Chinese traditions, arts, and all those cultivation stuffs. And thats why they don’t even think about making it cuz they know they won’t do it justice.

If you don’t get what I mean, try reading Martial Peak and comparing it to any Korean manhwas related to Chinese cultivation like this one. And you will see the differences.

Note: it doesn’t mean I hate all manhwas; I do love them like Solo Leveling, Tomb Raider King, and others. What I meant is I don’t like any manhwas about Chinese cultivations cuz I believe they don’t do it justice with their lack of knowledge about it.
