Summary

High school student Kusakabe Makoto must work throughout the day to raise money for his younger sister’s medical treatment. His father is unemployed, and his mother abandoned the children, leaving him to face bullying at work and other difficulties. Despite all this, he does not lose hope and continues to live for her sister. However, when she tells him that she does not have long left to live, Makoto falls into despair. He fears what will become of her after she dies and begins to question whether life has any real meaning beyond mere existence.

The author fumbled with the writing so many times, the biggest turn-off for me was the police guy, like he just “OH THAT GUY IS THE KILLER” with no proof or lead, he was so forced as the antagonist to the story.

If you look past the shock factor, there’s not much substance left.
The characters are too erratic:
MC can murder in cold blood but will forgive the co-conspirator in chapter 16 after she murder his childhood friend, twice?
And the co-conspirator transformed from weak rape victim to honey-trap, capable of overpowering grown men in days?
