Juujika no Rokunin

Hello, after a ridiculously long journey of dragging out the last arc, i have at last finished reading this. I remember dropping this near the end cause it was getting too long but figured since its actually completed now might as well finish the read.

Where to start? First and furthermore like someone mentioned in the comments bellow, this should be R rated. Its got hell lot of violence and gore and many, many, many disturbing scenes that are most definitely not for the faint of heart. I literally cannot stress enough just how graphically violent this was.

Now that thats out of the way, globally it’s not bad. Its not the greatest read ever nor is it the worst, it’s dencent. The major problems i found with this was the overly long ending, the author really dragged the ending and delayed the final confrontation for over 30+ chapters and ngl it was quite frustrating. I feel like some parts (mainly the t0rture scenes) of the ending arc were purely for the sake of doing gore without any real intent of making the plot move forwards. Now obviously some of the scenes were necessary and it’s true that i’m guessing all the actions that were made had as goal to psychologically destabilise the Mc, but i disgress the point was that they made it too long and could have wrapped it up earlier with the same ending and it wouldn’t have changed anything (plot wise).

For the rest of the story like i said earlier its not, bad. I’d even go as far as to say it was en enjoyable read, very stressful and mentally heavy read but enjoyable nonetheless. The Mc was consistent in his actions and premise wise it never deviated much. (it got dragged but stayed somewhat on track) It has a lot of psychological mind games, as well as the very present revenge plot (which was illustrated by some very graphic panels.) The whole story was interesting and did well at times to tackle several “heavy” topics. (the whole moral dilemma and the such, about who’s in the right, whats justified etc) Another good point is the art, the panels were beautifully drawn and the details were very well made. The art for me personally was one if not the greatest aset of this manga.

Aright to conclude this kinda long review i personally would recommend trying, if you’re into revenge/gore-ish/psychological drama type stories, it def gets kinda long near the end though. tw, I’ll say it again but please for your own mental sanity do not read if you cannot handle readin/watching: Torture (everything is drawn)/blood/gore/Sa/morally debatable actions. This is the worst thing to read in that case.

Finale note: 7.5/10 decent but gets tiring at some point. Would rec but beware.
