A brief description of the “Mannen D-Rank No Chuunen Boukensha, Yotta Ikioi De Densetsu No Ken Wo Hikkonuku” manga:
Lucas’ life is not a gift at all. By the time he was thirty-five, a series of failures had so aged and crippled him that he could no longer make the adventures he had before. But one day he pulls a magic sword out of the stone that says he is destined to be a hero. Becoming as young as he used to be, Lucas must use the power of the sword to conquer evil and find a great harem. Ahead of the questions: Lucas is in the modern world from the beginning. All he does is pass wishful thinking off.
This turned out unexpectedly entertaining, even though I was unsure much of the way. Around chapter 30, I decided this was just harem pokemon, and wouldn’t have any real story, but I was wrong. Somewhere after chapter 40 the author began to take the adventure semi-seriously, and the comedy got better. More importantly, the insufferable running gag about MC trying desperately to avoid expanding the harem gets toned down. The art is tasty, especially the detailed backgrounds and architecture. You probably need to be a little horny to enjoy this, but not very. It was fun the whole way through and more fun in later chapters. I recommend to those who enjoy a farce.
Summary: Middle-aged schlub drunkenly pulls a holy sword out of a stone, and tries to hide from being a hero. But the sword is holy to the horny goddess of polygamy, and the harem building garners more attention than the heroic acts.
The start looks interesting but went downhill immediately, MC is garbage, he’s so annoying and acting like a brat, the story went to the classic cliche but the pathetic ways of the MC is the last drop.

the story is so cheap, every single thing that happens gets foreshadowed in previous chapters. To put it simply, the story uses too much foreshadowing. There is no excitement to be had by waiting for the next chapter to be released. You can pretty much guess what’s going to happen in the next few chapters. Even the ecchi parts aren’t interesting enough compared to other ecchi manga. I guess that’s just the average manga these day huh.
I’d rate it “annoying to read, read only to waste short free time”.
jfc everyone in this manga is so annoying, why do some great manga get axed soon but yet garbage ones like this one will go on for over 40+ chapters of insufferable pain?

The ecchi is strong with this story, but the story holds strong through it.
While the jokes, story and punchlines are all predictable to experienced readers, they are well timed with good execution.
This story is enjoyable for both the eye and the mind.
lotta ppl drop it around ch30 when the tropes get hella old, but author do start throwin some hard curves around ch60.
overall enjoyed it and will follow it, but i doubt i’d ever reread it. ecchi was only decent overall and mc barely does the deed with any of his ‘wives’. when they do, the censoring is sporadic, sometimes a black box, sometimes full nips, other times they’ve been erased.
