Good writing and immaculate artwork, get best of both worlds. No hate to other authors milking “op character/regression” genres, but I’m so burnt out and tired of seeing slop now days. Shoutout to the author creating a world that’s immersive and building on, instead of having a linear path in their writing.

Disappointing. The premise is interesting, but underutilized – Devourer isn’t even in half the chapters, and half the ones he’s in he’s barely a support character. Much of the story focuses about other conflicts Devourer isn’t involved in.
It’s basically a collection of stories from a world without a main character, and none of them are particularly interesting on their own. Without the artstyle this would be a 3/10, with the artstyle it’s maybe a 6.
Idk why people rate this as 4.4 on this site when some manhwa rate higher like 4.7 when have bad facing story or story all over the place.
This manhwa is peak, pretty close to ORV, or some top tier manhwa in it own genre ( i will rate this equivalent like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood), this medieval dark mystery fantasy with some mythology mixing with lovecraft or cosmic horror, i know most fantasy genre always have cosmic horror element, but this from the cosmic horror boss pov. The closest for mc i guess the Azathoth inspired?(i am not really familiar btw cmiiw), but still have clear hierarchy who the strongest.
I don’t understand why people complaining about MC for being lazy, come on, read the synopsis or even the title, and his skeleton sidekick who keep dissing his boss make MC lost his aura, i mean people complain about everything. Anyway, the interactions between his sidekick is the best imo.
But yeah, unfortunately Original Novel Author passed away, my guess manhwa adaptation might be end up with Open Ending or Cliffhanger
