Story for a rough draft of a 12 year old work it’s not bad yeah the flaws are obvious and glaring idk why the murim alliance didn’t immediately ask questions or even show interest in the fact that he knew what’s his name lived in his cave didn’t ask about his martial arts or thought hmmm you know this guy who showed up wanting to know where this guy is he didn’t know died 10 years ago might know something but nah idk wtf is going on, I guess it’s unpredictable so if you like that give this a read

Splits a mountain in half and remarks he cant remember anything since he left the cave and theorises that it must be from the shock he caused from cleaving the mountain in half to exit the cave. Cringe and forced. You’ve got to have some strong goal fueled by deep memories of revenge, hatred, trauma, exploitation, abuse, terrible lose etc to have forced yourself into such isolation and fierce training for so long.

I’m convinced these Inconsistent, over looked contradictions are left in place to destroy brain cells, given the nuanced, mature, believable story telling of japan in the 90s and early 2000s

I thought it was entertaining up until he starts kind of breaking character in chapter 24 and ‘enjoys’ teaching people.

There’s a much better manwha with an MC of similar origin called Reaper of the Drifting Moon. Very similarly, he’s the one survivor in a cave full of kids that were trained assassins. I’d suggest people go read that.

Had high hopes but now it feels kind of mid. The plot is mid and bro is literally teaching them the heavenly thunder for free makes me lose interest. The only fun thing about this manhwa is the harem and the girls + people who underestimate the mc. yes that’s right this is your average story.

author tries to pass the MC as nonchalant but he comes accross as autistic (the non verbal one). everything else is mid mid mid or below-mid. I wouldn’t read this even if bored, there are other “barebly readable” series that cure boredom better

Dont know what the other guys in the comments read but it doesn’t sound like what i read. This is a simple light and enjoyable read thats it. Mc is very simple, story has layers but stays straightforward. Consistent pacing up to chapter 20.

Nothing impeccable, but definitely not d*g sh**, thats underselling it harshly.

If you want to know more:
Mc basically has no common sense… things he knows are: Death, survival and duty, thats it. The story proceeds to show his character development upon his arrival to the “outside” world while also having a vague target of revenge. Pretty simple trope, author has kept it simple so far. Light read, realistically speaking, some rating between 3.8 to 4.1.

I give it a chance and read trough 18 chapters and wont pick it up again. Typical Murim dog sh!t.

I have not read a single good Murim based story. They are all so brain dead with pretty much only fighting with no story or a goal

5/10 but honestly the art alone bumps it into a 6.5/10.
Every character in this manhwa has room temp iq and the writing is so dogshit that you would have to turn off your brain to enjoy it.

This is definitely not 3.8 stars. I’d give this 4.3 stars, the art is good, and so is the story, the only bad quality is the originality, however the story has just started, so I suspect it will obviously develop over time. This’ll eventually be worth 4.5 stars and then a few dozen chapters in the story will regress like they normally do, so far though this is a decent manhwa to read.

The story is decent, the pacing is decent, and the MC is quite interesting character-wise. This is something enjoyable to read, and that is what matters. It’s not all that unique but that doesn’t matter since I find these kinds of stories entertaining to read through.

If you like murim-type stories, especially ones like Reincarnation of the Fist King, you’ll enjoy this. The MC’s are pretty similar.
