mc is a bit naive but otherwise this is such a peak manga, the story, the art style & the medical side of it is awesome (which is why i like the mc he’s actually pretty knowledgeable)

Also I love the side-characters too

8/10 series, an anime would probably not do it justice and that’s ok <3

God this series is so peak, the art style is gorgeous and detail oriented, and it’s everything you could ever ask for in an isekai medical drama (continous medical development that the modern MC brings without loosing the plot)

The MC is a doctor spreading medical knowledge to unknowingly upend a world that’s used to relying on a very particular group of people using healing magic.

I came in wondering what the title meant, like I thought it was implying the MC could use medicine to beat fire magic somehow and had to see what this was. It’s a just surgery manga in an isekai setting. The art’s impressive, but the explanations are so long that I think this can only be truly appreciated by someone interested in studying medicine.

This is one of the best isakais. This is not some “oh the goddess kidnapped you to save the world and told you to do it so you do it” this is a Japanese doctor, a goodey two shoes you should eat more vegetables i studied to be a doctor to help people not make my tiger mom proud Docter. The type of weido doctor that does this because he loves helping people not for the money or babes.

Now just how much medicine is in this? How good of a doctor is he? It’s not at Dr Stone level of education, but it tries. You will learn some concepts of medicine. Ever see a dwarf get a spinal tap? you will if you read this. The art is a mix between berserk and jojo, so you will tell the characters apart, even if they are bald. The art is really good, so you will see just how horror medicine is, especially improvised field medicine. You never know, this series may save you life in the event of social collapse.

And that brings us to the problem, the art is good so don’t expect this to update weekly.

The uninspiring title really steals a lot of the flair this story has. It’s a high quality work, from the artwork to the effort put into each scene. I’d recommend it to anyone that’s read a manga before, and not just the folks that guzzle down isekais (me, I’m describing myself).
