modern arc will make sense but it might get a bit boring
future arc won’t make sense in the beginning (for reasons explained later) but it will be very exciting.
This is my opinion on the story, it takes the phrase “they don’t make em like they used to” to a whole f*cking NEW L E V E L
first volume? Till like chapter 117 this sh*ts amazing, I was excited for the modern chapter till they made it f*cking psychological and weird but I read the whole thing, then we have the third… your gonna get there and have absolutely no idea what’s happening until you are like halfway through. But read it all, because even if it’s crap, it’s still a good story, 5 stars. I’m convinced they were just writing whilst high in the last volume so, just enjoy, don’t think to hard about it 🙂

When from being a heartfelt beautiful story into a tangled mess “the future arc” ruined it for me. The quality completely dropped just, if as creator/writer stop caring or just milking it at this point. 
I bleached mind of the future arc and say that the manga ended once MC when to sleep and call it a day.

I watched the anime’s first season then transitioned to reading the manga. I honestly thought that in both depictions of this it was fire. It’s crazy good and super emotional. I can’t get enough of it, always waiting for new chapters to come out. It is great. Using different histories as a backdrop to unveil great emotional drama and suspense. At the centre of it a guy who looks like a god from the outside but on the inside is still quite like you or me. The manga/anime tackles lots of things, such as; child abandonment, fitting in, school, physical deformities, injustice, religion, patience, hope, indoctrination, cults and many more. It’s honestly a banger and you have to read/watch this. If you don’t I will find you
