If the first 23 chapters were condensed into 3/4 this would have a lot more readers. It was like the trenches every chapter seeing comment after comment about dropping this because it made no sense.

It’ll take like… 20 chapters? before the actual story begins but I suppose you’ll learn just how hard his life was before it started moving forward. With enough patience, this is actually pretty good

I went trough 7 chapters and it’s slow and boring for me. Reading other comments and it seems like 39 chapters is it’s first season and nothing happens also.

Just finished chapter 39 and after almost no story progression season 1 finished and there is no info when season 2 will start again. I have no problem with slow stories and most times they turn out better than others with rushed and forced action but if you do it slow you cant release 39 chapters in 5 months which is the same speed as a fast story would and then do a hiatus pretty much after the prologue.

For everyone considering reading this i’d recommend you wait. It has potential but i can’t see anything of it so far. The start seems just very disorganised and it only gets a little better up to 36 where i am rn. The story is very slow so with 1 chapter a week it will take ages for it to go anywhere. This may be a personal problem with the story but the protagonist is 12 years old and he acts like it no artificial maturity if anything he is just a bit more strong willed and determined due to what he went through but foolish like a child. I don’t know if there will be any time skips and where the story will lead exactly but i’ll drop it and maybe come back in a year and see if anything good came out of it. Either that or i’ll be looking for an audio book so i can just passivly listen to it during work
