Summary
A brief description of the manga I Used to Be a Boss:
Baphomet, the boss of the [Tower of Abyss], waits for a strong hunter who is able to fight on equal grounds against him. When he had grown bored of the repetitive battles, he began to gain interest in the world of humanity due to the trophies he had obtained from the dead hunters. At the same time, he became further entranced by the existence of humans when the strong hunter he had always wished for appeared before him. Ultimately, Baphomet tries to become a human himself…

Love the originality can’t wait to see how this series progresses

“Ah here we go again, a highly rated manwha on mangaread, can’t wait to be disappointed about my fellow reader’s taste;” at least, those were me initial thoughts. But after reading it, I can only describe it as interesting. It’s not boring nor “fun” since the mc does not go around Willy nilly, flexing his protagonist powers. He faces the constant realization that he is merely a fragment compared to his former self. It’s not like any other system manwhas either, where the mc is talented and speed runs gates, waifus, and God himself. Instead, those chapters were used for world-building and character development. Yet, the author seems to know that his reader’s attention span will dwindle incrementally with each chapter the mc isn’t getting stronger. I wish I know what the mc will do in the future, but I guess that is what good writing is — The ability to make the readers eager for the next chapter. I’m looking forward to reading more of this and a part of me feels like this is a premature review where the actual score, in the future, should be higher than the one I’m giving it now. Either way, Enjoy!

shows potential
its awesome so far
It’s mid mc needs to have a training arc it something
this very interesting manga i love it !!!!!
Am I the only one who has never seen a completed manhwa other than solo leveling? I just saw this manhwa on a YT video but then when I came here it wasn’t completed either…
Slowpokes
nice.
Not a lot of chapters but thanks god the chapters that are out are long. This has a lot of potential. So far imo it’s good.
whats the name of the light novel for this
Cannot really judge based on 4 chapters. However, it has a lot of potential. Hence the rating so far, depending where they go with it. Long chapters and the translation is good. All I would say is hopefully it does not become dragged out and boring.
Only time will tell, I shall update once there are more chapters out.
f*ck me this is good
This one has potential.
No stars is crazy, but after reading 3 chapters it’s eeeehhhh. The main character name might make people not want to read this, especially religious people. The first chapter feels like it’s dragging it but I understand the build up needs to be set in play. This is more like solo leveling but if the monster was given a system.
