A brief description of the manga It’s Sudden, but I Came to Another World! But I Hope to Live Safely
A man from another world comes to a fantasy world. He wants to live in peace, but he is caught by the kingdom’s knights as a suspicious person and thrown into prison. As he is being interrogated, he tells the knights about some bandits that he saw when he was in the mountain. The knights take him up on his information and go to fight the bandits.
But while they are gone, the man escapes from prison. He wants to go back to his home, but there are monsters everywhere, so he decides to avoid them. He goes down the mountain while avoiding the monsters and comes across a slime. He defeats it using his knowledge of plants and animals. He continues on his journey down the mountain until he reaches a city.
There, he meets a girl named Ilius who is looking for some bandits that have been terrorizing the city. The man helps Ilius defeat the bandits and becomes famous as a hero. A story about importance in another world.

The main character ends up in another world. Since he has no special abilities, he wants to lead a quiet, simple life as a freeloader.
What makes him special is that he comprehends those around him and adapts to their way of thinking (like a mirror).
This leads his companions to fear that he will join the dark side.

For anyone manga only, please note that this is based off of a light novel that has been fully translated (look up reigokai translations if interested). The Manga is extremely close to the novel version, only omitting minor details thus far and having slightly different names for some characters, as is common with different translators. Chapter 29 of the manga (the last one before the hiatus) was chapter 43 of the book, with the story itself ending at chapter 372 (minus bonus chapters and such). This story has a long, long way to go, and it will keep getting better from here.

Mangaka is gone. so sad actually. it was a good read. and had such a cliffhanger. this is not ongoing. its done. the dude is dead…. RIP

As good as the story is, I’m disappointed to realize this author doesn’t know how to decently draw women – who are supposed to be good looking (according to the novel) – and actually make them so. Characters that I should be enthused to finally see, I’m bracing for disappointment instead. Somehow, they do a way better job on the men.
Character design aside, it isn’t a terrible adaption (as far as I’ve read so far). Obviously details get cut, but that’s inevitable.

This is really good, I’m pretty sure the title is a joke but since at first glance it shouts trashy manga I think it back fired…
I like this manga, I don’t love it. The adventure is good, the comedy sometimes lands, there are a couple of original premises, some of the characters are well crafted. On the other hand, MC is not much fun to be around. The story is centered around the idea that MC’s isekai is cheatless, and Earthlings have no magic, so he has to overcome being one of the weakest people in the world while involved in world-shaking events. But it gets undermined by the fact that MC is absurdly lucky, which the story does not address. The main story twist is telegraphed from the beginning, but there are many minor twists that keep things moving. It’s more interesting than fun, I give it a restrained recommendation.
Summary: MC wakes up in a world of swords and magic and finds lots of danger that he pretty easily dodges. He gets sucked in to the affairs of nations while endlessly protesting that he has no such intention because he is so weak. Fortunately the world has inventive adventures prepared for him.
