Summary

A brief description of the manhwa Stuck in the Tower:

A world where gates open and monsters come out to play— Hyunsoo longs to enter the tower and take on the role a sa hunter. But in reality, he works as a porter and meat shield of E Class Hunters who are worse than gangsters.

Moreover, he was taken advantage by this hunters to the point where he was about to meet death. As soon as he thought that he was dead, he was summoned to the tower, was revived back from the dead, and began climbing up the tower to become a hunter that he had been longing to be.

Depending on how much coins one has, the tower offers them the chance to challenge it. Hyunsoo looks at the number of coins he has…. [You have an infinite number of coins!] “Then I’ll awaken myself in the 100th floor and go home!!!” Hyunsoo, who is stucked in the tower, begins his conquer!

I injoyed the 1st season, I’m now starting the second season. The art work is pretty good. The dark comedy pretty good. And I like the over time characters built up back stories. It’s worth the read. Slow at times but it never felt it dragged on. Give it a try, who knows it might build on you as you read it.

The story lacks the most important thing: an Objective.
Why MC is trying to get stronger or climb the tower? Because yes.
It also lacks the second most important thing: stakes (tension).
What happens if he doesn’t get what he wants? Nothing.

I would give this manhwa a 6.5/10 to 7.5/10 rating with 5/10 being the average manhwa. It is good but it still has the basic fundamentals of a tower manhwa, nothing super unique. I would still definitely recommend it, however, because I have found that most manhwas nowadays have been getting pretty stale and this keeps an alright taste

mc can’t think critically or use knowledge from even like a panel ago to complete information for the next one, also his “brooch” DOUBLES all of his stats, he should be spamming the brooch EVERY SINGLE TIME that he is in danger, he also has FIRE BOMB SKILL and a TRIPLE FIRE BOMB BURST SPELL SCROLL, that he NEVER uses; NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT HE HAS INFINITE LIVES? WTF

Read up to chapter 8:
It’s not bad and it’s not ground-breaking either. I feel like it’s a mix of three different manwha’s I’ve read before. But I still like it because I like this kind of plot so it’s okay if it’s similar to something else.

To people complaining about the MC starting out with an S-Class ability:
There are tons of manga and manwha with weak MCs and overpowered MCs. What kind of variety do you expect?? Either the MC is weak, mediocre, strong or overpowered. There’s no magical new starting scenario that hasn’t been written about.

what the, this is a mess, when the first chapter already using ass-pull plot armor for the MC, you know this is bad. Ohh the MC using a whistle to aggro the monster, Let’s head inside the mana shield and cancel it so we can get mauled together, the MC is so weak he can’t fight a 1-star wolf but suddenly get strong and fast enough to fight a goblin.
