just wanted to point this out to the ignorant people who are saying stuff along the line of “because the 12 year olds need a op mc”. If I wanted JUST an intelligent mc then I wouldn’t read a FANTASY manhwa. The whole point of a mc is to be the MAIN CHARACTER and outshine everyone else hence the name but if he’s just weak and smart then it’s a pointless read and he’s just a side character that gets a lot of screen time. The reason why Authors give mc powers is because it attracts attention if you just have a smart mc then there’s less to keep adding to the story and people get bored, Like can you imagine nano machine, TBATE, ORV, Myst might mayhem, being anywhere as popular as they are today if the mc were weak but smart? answers no, Because that’s not a mc, And people will probably say that as long as a few people really enjoy it then it doesn’t matter if its popular or not, Well let me correct you YES it does because making manhwas/manga/manhua is NOT cheap hence they need money and to get income they need more views/readers so popularity is a must to keep them running. Also your basically reading something equivalent to a comic book so yeah there’s going to be a lot of 12 years olds lmao
