Another series I shelved years ago to pile up chapters and decided to check on today, thinking that it must be completed by now or close to it. Only to find out that apparently it was axed. And both are from the same author at that.

The manhwa is bad. Simply bad. The light novel is supposed to be better. The manhwa is barely readable. They left out so much information that would’ve been needed to understand the context and the plot. They left out the female lead until she suddenly appeared in chap. 80 and was already in love with the mc. Just suddenly appeared no introduction or background info. And thats not a single occurrence.
And aside from that the story isn’t even that good. The Mc just becomes a righteous wimp halfway through and the whole return from past thing got thrown out the window.

For all of you that say that this manhwa is trash, I agree with you! But hear me out, the Novel is one of the best that I ever read. If you find the base setting good but dont like how the manhwa is developping, read the Novel! It’s worth it trust me.

This manhwa is wild! In bad ways.
The base story is very weak. It wont answer your why, what, when, who, where, how. The author wont care bout your understandings, s/he just write whatever s/he like. Fast forward progression but skipped so many things and details.

There are too many contradiction as well. Such as a weak-will MC who keep helping people, slay his foes n etc. Or the selfish person who keep stay and work as group. And I believe you will find tons of it even more if you read it carefully.

Art is good (imo) and it is dark-styled one, so if you like art with so many shades and shadows like Kimetsu Yaiba (perhaps), you (perhaps) would like to read this one as well. No fans service or else tho.

this manwha has a good art, but skips too many things and the story literally can’t be followed because it lacks ANY context WHATSOEVER (i swear, there is NONE: levels, hierarchies etc are NEVER explained)
add to this that charachters keep changing but somehow the MC knows them like they have been kids together (no, it is not a re-styling of existing charachters)
The MC is mostly bad and the plot armor is outrageous, moreover he has hero complex and … honestly it feels like a very low-end shoujo.

last thing: people in comments praise the light novel, so it’s just that the story has not been summarized well and everything has been trivialized/skipped, making it unreadable, even tho the panels are actually not bad quality.

a read i did not enjoy: i rater mucho texto walls of cultivation BS in chinese manhuas than 0 and i repeat ZERO context about anything.
