honestly, its not best but not worst either, and pretty much most of us read anyway, overall its not bad but just kinda slop you see almost everywhere (i dont mind tho, im reading and still like it)

Concept is super weak, poorly executed. I don’t think I could actually recommend it to anyone in all honesty. But if your in need of a laugh, or in a dark space. I’d say give it a read. The gag pages are legitimately well executed and the ones featuring Tathagata are some of the best executions of a character experiencing enlightenment I’ve seen. You’ll probably be tugging your hair at the poor executions of some of the myths, the fights are like watching bayblade. Honestly the moral sections are kind of awful since it’s suppose to be a kid friendly manga, so they usually don’t really approach anything close to nuance. But you’ll feel something, you’ll probably laugh and if your in a bad place the buddhist scriptures may help. Which is honestly more than I can say about some works.

The poisonous banana panels were worth everything.

The comedy in the later chapters really hit the spot. Fuck the rest of the story, that alone earned 5*

From the comments after the different chapters there is one thing people seem to really enjoy, it is when Buddha shows up.

For those of you loving this part of the story, there are 8 books in the comic Buddha by Tezuka Osamu filled with this wisdom and joy. It is a classic and a wonderful read.

Read to chapter 180 current newest released. This is by far one of the best I have ever read. It has a lot of action and a ton of comedy. Gets you laughing at least every other chapter. I highly recommend you read this!

This one’s ok. 7/10 for me. The setting is unique and the story is coherent. Everything has a reason and is explained clearly. However, there’s no character building, no character growth. The art is mediocre, causing the action scenes to feel glossed over. If you got time, read it. It’s a fun read, but definitely not one of the best.
