I rate this 5/5. It’s very similar to FFF Class Trash Hero and Eternally Regressing Knight. And as Mother Earth put it, “Re Zero but Murim”. Very enjoyable read. It’s worthwhile.

I’ve been reading this for 3? 2? Years and a few months now since this Manhwa is still ongoing and the updates take long. Especially before when Season 1 ended. We’re still in the beginnings of Season 2. So I can’t comment for very specific chapters aside from the newest chapters I’ve read and remember.

It’s basically a Story where a Murim Inhabitant who’s a Lower ranking member of the Demon Cult, a Canon Fodder Individual gets a Videogame System that allows him to level up and get stronger as well as cheat death so long as he kills other specific Murim Inhabitants who can give him many or few lives to cheat death a bit longer (I Specify “Murim Inhabitant” because the Main Character here isn’t like Chinese Reincarnation System Manhuas like Top Tier Providence.) though it doesn’t make him immediately overpowered like the usual Game System Story, heck, as of Chapter 136 which is the only new chapter available now as I’m typing this, MC is still WEAK, though this doesn’t take away from the story. It’s still a great story where the end goal is for MC to become Overpowered, but not immediately but gradually, MC will grow as we progress through the story so MC doesn’t just steamroll all the characters. MC is made to face great difficulties that he must challenge with not just strength, but with his team and his intelligence and strategy. The only bad thing I’ve seen is the blue ball in one of the recent Chapters where they make it seem like MC is boutta go Demon Mode on High Ranking Demon Cult Members after MC killed and harvested some Lives from an Bald Guy who’s a high ranking member of the Demon Cult. He used his True Life Qi and burnt his life force away, and made it seems like he was gonna be able to kill those two @ssh0l3s, but no. MC dies like a weakling. Aside from that moment which was a BS Cucking that didn’t make sense to me, since I feel like MC should’ve won that Last Stand Confrontation or at least made those two b@st@rds sweat and bleed, but no, MC lost so pathetically. But again, that’s the only bad thing I can remember. Which is just me thinking that the Author should’ve let MC win that fight or at least not glazed MC so much after Burning his True Life Qi as if he was gonna absolutely destroy those two Enemies. Aside from that, the new latest chapters are AWESOME, the story is getting even better since for one, MC is steadily getting stronger, and unlike before, he’s doing what he wants and passing down the orders, not the one being ordered around. And we get to explore the wider Central Plains and Murim and not be stuck at the Demon Cult so much.
