A brief description of the manhwa I Got a Fake Job at the Academy:

I wasn’t reborn with talent or ability, but at least my knowledge from earth allowed me to stay one step ahead in this other world. Magic exists here, and new progress was rapidly being made in science while magic stagnated in the name of tradition.

Using my earthly knowledge and not bound by the traditional thinking, I was able to do things other wizards couldn’t even imagine. Still, inadvertently becoming an undercover professor for a mysterious secret society at the renowned Sören academy was never in my to-do list!

the first season was really good. the way the mc explains his magic is interesting and the writing was well done and the characters were realistic. the art was good. i’d give the 1st season by itself an 8/10.

the rest of the story is kind of dogwater. starting with the second season the writing, art, story, characters, translation, everything just starts to get worse and worse. i dropped at chapter 151 and by that point all of the intrigue and detailed worldbuilding the first season had was no where to be seen in favor of the same shlocky Light Show Fight Scenes, lame ass dialogue, and goofy situations. why can’t one of these stories just stay good?

I think it was ok binge reading at 100ch, but it’s mostly lost its footing and decided to do more school tropes and zero calorie mini mystery arcs that didn’t advance the main plot.

So its become a series that doesn’t have a strong direction that the (novel?) author either didn’t plan out much and is walking down the clock. The slowly growing student harem is a bit too much (more sad sack author fantasies?), but whatever floats your boat.

It start out good but after reading thru chapter 135 it becomes a bland repetitive forgettable manhwa, dropped. 7.5/10

This manwha was very well plotted out. A lot of depth and love went into the story, characters, and mystery surrounding it. The author seems to be well read to boot. There are minor plot holes that are not explained very well, such as some disjointed consistency in the technology used in the era. But, overall, its very minor. Emotional and driven with a lot going for it.

Don’t be fooled by the kind of ridiculous title. Its a well done piece of media, truly art. Even rereading it I enjoyed it a lot, which you wouldnt really think so much of, since it is mysterious at points, but it keeps the suspense on the subsequent reading. Theres a lot of depth to the writing that it’s still dramatic.

Check it out for sure.

just read this guys, i bet u will be hooked in just 3 chapters. This is absolutely peak, mc is smart, strong, manipulative and cares for his friends and allies, and best part of this manhwa is its interesting magic power mechanisms and has many twists in story.

5/5 rating from me, it surpassed my expectations :cuteanime:

4,5/5 for me. the Plot is alr but the information the secrets and the reveal make it a a suspense feel so immaculate ( also the fight scene’s are a 5 you actually know what they’er doing I know right its crazy. btw the plot being alr is because

the main plot is getting parts of a crystal so he can become God or smth don’t take my word its been two years since I last read I just finished it up right now too where it was at but the other one is stopping demons from causing chaos too the world. or idk milk the world 10/10 would reread but DAM those chaps are long and have information.
