Summary
A brief description of the manhwa Becoming the Swordmaster Rank Young Lord of the Sichuan Tang Family:
The Sichuan Tang Family, formerly a distinguished line of poison and secret weapons, is currently in decline. Born there, Tang Yeon-Myeong develops an intense obsession with swordsmanship, bringing back memories of his previous existence, in which he achieved the highest level of swordsmanship.
“In this life, I want to live quietly.”
My swordsmanship skills must be hidden if I are to live in peace. But there are just too many things standing in my way.

Review of Becoming the Swordmaster Rank Young Lord of the Sichuan Tang Family
The story is definitely engaging. Tang Yeon-myeong’s journey from a family that used to be famous for poison and hidden weapons to becoming a swordmaster is unique and fun to follow. The reincarnation twist adds a nice layer, especially since Tang just wants a peaceful life but keeps getting caught up in all sorts of trouble. The pacing is generally good, though there are moments where it slows down a bit, but overall, it keeps you hooked.
The art is absolutely amazing. From the detailed fight scenes to the characters’ emotions, everything is done beautifully. The sword fights are fast, fluid, and exciting, with a lot of attention to detail. Even the backgrounds help set the historical tone and make the world feel immersive. Visually, this manhwa is top-tier.
Character development is solid, especially for Tang. His past-life memories make him more than just a typical overpowered hero, adding depth to his personality. Some of the side characters could use more attention, though, as they feel a bit underdeveloped compared to Tang. Hopefully, they’ll get more fleshed out as the story continues.😌
If you’re into martial arts action, this series really delivers. The sword fights are intense, strategic, and drawn in a way that makes them feel dynamic. It’s not just about brute strength, but also about Tang’s skill and intelligence in battle, which makes the action even more enjoyable.
Overall, I’d give Becoming the Swordmaster Rank Young Lord of the Sichuan Tang Family a solid 4.7 out of 5. The story is intriguing, the art is gorgeous, and the action scenes are thrilling. Some side characters could use more development, but it’s definitely worth following if you’re into martial arts and historical fantasy.
Idk about this one, but max level newbie is one of the worst trash I’ve ever read …
Where can I read the light novels and what chapter is it
And from 9 chapter translation is horrible.
My Rating System:
0-Garbage.
1-Bad.
2-Okay.
3-Good.
4-Great.
5-The Best.
I rate this an Perfect 5/5. It’s one of the best Murim Manhwa Stories around. Very unique too, we have an Fallen Tang Clan as our Protagonists. The Writing, Translations, Art, Pacing, Story and Characters are all Perfect. That’s pretty much all I have to say, it’s very entertaining and highly recommended.
The only thing I can say is ignore all the d*mb @ss haters in the comments. This is the problem with the internet tbh, it’s allowed 1d1ots who thrive off hate and negativity to comment any b*llsh1t they want too. Or just Clout Chase, Virtue Signal, and Morally Grandstand. Sorry bruh, this ain’t reddit or Twitter. Just a site where you read Eastern Comics. You won’t get fame or privileges here.
This is the problem with “Reviewers” that has made me become a Manhwa/Manhua/Manga Reviewer myself tbh. Many a times, I’ve been turned off reading an Eastern Comic cuz of the negative comments I see, only for me to actually read the Eastern Comic and find out that it’s not bad and it’s also become one of my favorites. An perfect and popular example is Rooftop Swordmaster. Unless the criticism is actually valid, like the Art, the Translations, the Story, the Characters etc, it’s all constructive criticism, DO NOT TRUST ANYONE’S “REVIEW” OF SOMETHING. Check it out for yourself and see who’s right and wrong, it’s true that everything is subjective, but there’s objective criticism. If the Negative Criticisms are all subjective, examples being “Oh this has a L0l1 so it’s P3d0” or “This is a School Shooter Power Fantasy and I Hate it”, IGNORE THEM ALL. They’re B1tch1ng cuz they can’t differentiate reality from fantasy, or are reading an story that is not for them instead of Reading or Watching the Millions of other kinds of Stories from Slice of Life to Romance etc, they’re here reading these Comics and Getting butthurt and spreading bullsh1t negativity and propaganda just to attack an Comic, and it’s Readers and Authors. Think that Garbage YouTuber Living Deadman and his Garbage highly negatively biased and wrong and opinionated video on Rooftop Swordmaster.
Okay, this Review of mine has gone on long enough. But basically, READ FOR YOURSELF AND DONT BE INFLUENCED BY ANYTHING OR ANYONE ELSE, even me. Be your own judge, jury and executioner, don’t be sheep. Don’t be a bandwagoner. Trust yourself to make decisions for yourself. Don’t be influenced by the popular or unpopular opinions. Check things out for your own self. And if it’s not to your liking, tell us if your criticisms are Subjective, like you just personally don’t like something and that’s it, or there’s something objectively wrong with the story. That’s all there is to it. No need to go on YouTube to seek validation just cuz your views and opinions weren’t popular on Asurascans. (Living Deadman really screenshoted comments on his YouTube Video on the Rooftop Swordmaster comment sections. I believe it was Asurascans, or maybe Mangakakalot. Who knows. Either way, he’s s c u m and a loser for that. Not only doxxed and spread hate towards commentors, the author and fans as well. And what he did was very S c u m m y, nobody probably cared about his negative comments so he took to YouTube just to complain.🤣)
I kinda agree with you, the Mom and Protector guy are pretty useless and annoying… BUT! It’s still pretty good.
TRUST ME WHEN I SAID TRUST ME
ULTRA TIER⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What name Novel?
Maybe if y’all have an attention span higher than 1 microsecond all the shit you’re talking about will get explained throughout the rest of the chapters.
always ask myself just what in the world have i been doing . And i keep doing emty stuff
Those who comment bad about this manhwa really pissing me out. I’m glad I forced my self to read it and found that this is actually good and going well with my taste. 4.8/5 for me.
It is MC uber alles type of story, without much hardships. There is not even usual “oh, how hard it is and how powerful enemy is, oh wait I have that power” type of story. It is just going through enemies one after another and putting top level munchkin to shame.
Still drawing is nice and there is sect mamma so I would s at readable.
Who tf decide CLAN LEADERSHIP based on kids competition? Whos idiot author making this Bullshit?
I read the first 3 chapters and I just couldnt put in the effort to continue reading this, because it feels like an edgy fanfic written by a 13 year old. It felt like the author didn’t care about carefully crafting a world, systems or premise, he just took the reincarnation format, completely skipped the training arcs where the MC slowly grows OP, instead just boosted him with a superman level of plot armor and immediately made him slap the face of an elder in the clan (with no concern for the internal hierarchies in the clan, which usually adds depth and levels to the MCs interactions/relationships in other series) again with 0 training..
I checked the other comments here and most seem to enjoy the edgy revenge stuff with little mention regarding the core of the story and world making 0 sense.
I cannot understand the rating of 4.6 in this, I guess I am lacking the required skills of closing down my brain for this.
If you plan on reading this DONT not because it’s bad but latest chapter ended on a cliffhanger I would suggest wait until there is atleast 60 chapters this is peak
