Financial power. I will gather all the fortune of the world—
and create a monopoly. I will monopolize all the dungeons of the world.
I will do this now, while the world is still peaceful…
before it all begins.

Ok, I read it and I found the problem, the story is paced too strangely, the economy and the exclusive dungeon does not mash well and the transition was too sharp, additionally the stakes are simply not represented well enough. Hear me out, the economy in this story was actually done really well, for a person with the intentions of regressing it would only be logical to remember key events big enough that they would return enough money but also not be affected by his investments the problem comes with how fast the story turns from investing to fighting and there was no real kick off to it. In most stories “solo leveling” for instance has a introduction to foreshadow an arc think about how an ant was spotted right before the juju island arc and how it killed fairly high ranking heros meaning that it was a high class mission, in this story the dog dungeon kinda was just broken into and although the mountains had to be bought it never felt like a big event that gets people hype, the hype came from the fact that he was finally going to fight but not the actions that leads up to it. The second problem comes with pacing, as much as I love the investing it was just too long for a manga that was advertised to be fighting centric and although it undoubtably can lead to up some great stuff it runs into the same problem that LOTM does in the early chapters which is that it dosen’t immediately blow the reader away which is a big problem when A) there are other manga’s like this one and B) the author is as known as “cuttlefish” not only that but LOTM is a extremely unique novel even by today’s standards, the fleshed out power system, the pages from an all powerful ancient existence and the setting/characters being unbelievably convincing keeps readers there not only that but it dosen’t fall into the seemingly misleading advertising that regressor does (also LOTM is a 9/10 and I think that it is so good that making time for it AKA finding time specifically to read it is justified). Lastly the stakes were simply not as well depicted though imagery as the originals that was discarded and thats due to the antistyle that this one went with being much more cartoony then the other one. I honestly think that this decision isn’t terrible as it allows for more emotive behavior to push character progression but that just goes back to the first problem of the first chapters not enticing the target audience fast enough. All and all with a reread I now think its a great read 7/10 but would also wait for more chapters as I think the true quality of this can only be seen after shyt hits the fan for the MC.
ok but this story feels off, something’s just missing and I think thats due to the amount of characters main characters involved now hear me out, in normal magic mangas there can be 4-5 core characters but the fking Economy takes up 3 of the slot in this story and the way the characters are integrated in feels wrong in some way. not terrible 6/10 try it and decide for yourself.
Came for the dungeon manga. Stayed for the financial history. It’s interesting to see the references to rothchild, Rockefeller, blackrock, etc in this manwhua. Author clearly has a passion for macro economics/finance
I like the stockbroker parts the best, I don’t get why people get all up in their ass about wanting more dungeons, and monsters, I’m on the side of wanting the MC to take over the financial system rather than yet another monster fighting manga.
Let me get this straight he was fighting against monopoly in past now he want to monopolize everything this contradict hypocrite drop this shit
Enjoying the Investment parts just as much as the dungeons. I get that its not for everyone, but its well executed for what it is.l
so this is Capitalism very nice
I finally read the 35 chapters avaible. I read the past life returner from before but dropped it because there was too much market stuff. This one is way better. There are quite a few chapters related to the market (so far, way more than dungeons), but I really like how the author justifies that the mc is able to get billions of dollars while being in his fifteens.
smart mc, really good art, maybe a bit too much market stuff but still OK, it’s an obvios 4.8/5 and hope they won’t drop it this time
I’ve read 20 chapters and this is so boring it’s just stock market simulator.
8.5/10

Bookmarked? Yes.
As an avid manga/manhua/manwha reader for a long while, it’d be disappointing if I hadn’t already read the original of most remakes. I fondly remembered the original of this manwha because of how boring it was and the bastard of a cliffhanger it left me two years ago. Thus, after hearing about the remake, I prayed that it would be significantly better than the previous. And oh boy, I was definitely not disappointed. Unlike the previous manwha, I never once got bored and tired of the finance arc since there was a little action sprinkled in here and there. To add to that, it didn’t spend a god-forsaken amount of time to establish the mc’s backing. Although the stocks get out of hand sometimes, this regression manwha seems to be on the more realistic/ideal side of things. Not only is the mc a deceiving and hard worker, but he’s not overpowered and experiences a word called “struggle,’ which most main characters don’t do nowadays, especially regressions. Honestly, the protagonist might be one of my favorites since he doesn’t delay taking down his major enemies and can be ruthless while nostalgic. Along with this, each character so far has been quite substantial with some kind of backstory so they don’t feel like they are there for plot convenience sake. As for the art, it’s a major difference from the original. It’s like most manwha’s these days, but a bit better. The original’s was a bit on the rustic/water colored looking type, which some people liked better. As for a balanced progression and attention grabbing manwha, this is one of the best options out there to read; I would definitely give it a shot if you have the patience for world building + preparation rather than in your face action. However, it could definitely be considered boring and tiresome if you want immediate action + powerups since this story does the opposite of that.
PS: I was looking back at my old bookmarks 2-3 days ago and the original version of this manwha was there, and I reminisced and cursed at it for a bit. Crazy how things work. Also, the manwha is really starting to pick up at the later chapters; it was going to be an 8.2, but the recent action bumped up the enjoyability factor heavily.

Lets say when I pressed the “Read First” button I did not expect what I encountered. I love it tho. It surprised in a really good and fun way. This is a really great read I hope it continues this way, exciting, and quite different from your generic regression manhwa. Im happy I came across it
