A brief description of the manga I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!
Liam Sera Banfield is a reincarnator. He was reincarnated into a fantasy universe of swords and magic, but at a time that civilization was already making advancements into outer space.
The setting takes place in an intergalactic empire, a space opera-like universe where humanoid weapons and spaceships do battle. Liam, who had incarnated into an aristocratic family in a monarchic society, has the ambition to one day become an evil lord. In his previous life, Liam had unfortunately lost everything and died in despair.

Holding those feelings in his chest, he starts towards his second life, but is instead worshipped as a virtuous ruler from his difference in values.
Will Liam be able to safely become an evil lord?
The foundation and general premise is well written and interesting, but the author is doing everything he can to kill it.
The MC is OP and everything works out so well that it makes no sense. Even big enemy plans, that were built up over a number of chapters, were resolved by the MC with just sitting in his mech cockpit and things working out. No cool action panels, no rationalization as to how things work out, just “hahaha I actually bought a super-super-super mech with my endless amounts of money, u lose” – which destroys any and all stakes. It is rather boring now.

Also… ermigerd, why is this story so accurate to irl… it is giving me ptsd… its story events almost exactly match my irl experiences with royalty & the military corruption as well as politics and real world events…
Why is comedy not in the genre section? This is way funnier that most others that ARE labelled comedy?
Is it because of harem haters? Even though nothing harem seems to have happened at all & yet they are so eager to slap that genre tag on it to satisfy their rage boner?

MC is not an Evil Lord… he’s not even a particularly naughty boy.
The story is a joke… not a funny joke… but a joke on you, the reader, for wasting your time and your life on reading this story.
There are some good stories with the MC being a villain.
This is not one of those.
I typically only watch anime, but there are a few series where I am not satisfied because they end so abruptly that I am willing to venture into the manga. This is one of those cases.
One of my favorites right now. Anime is out and is not as good as the manga IMO. If you can get past the first chapter, it’s smooth sailing for the MC afterwards. And he deserves to be an Evil Galactic Lord. It’s an isekai, revenge ( although the revenge isn’t towards past wrongs, but more so any present wrongs that come his way ), harem / romance? ( Although MC is super jaded and has serious trust issues so doesn’t give a crap about love and just wants obedience ). Action and adventure, where he diligently worked his butt off to become OP so he can do whatever he wants. Every time someone tries to thwart him and he kicks the crap out of them or makes a decision which inadvertently makes life better for everyone, I jump for frigging joy. I don’t know if I’ve ever rooted for someone harder in my life.

This got an anime adaptation. Just watched the first episode. Very happy with the quality they put into this adaptation.
At first, i was a bit scared of that evil “God,” but after a while, I realized the direction the manga was taking and for god’s sake, he absolutely nailed it.
I don’t think I have any negative comments about this one, just pure joy.
Bookmarked and hope it continues in the direction it’s currently going.
I strongly recommand this one. Actually, this one is one of the kind original (not fully, but has own unique style) one. Novel has been out for since I don’t remember at least three to four year now. But as same of the other jp ones, the timelines between each chapters are long even in novel. In novel, there are more details and more fun.

It’s… Actually surprisingly good? Don’t go in with the intent to read an actual evil overlord revenge story and you’ll most likely enjoy it greatly. I wish the manga didn’t add the BL plots that waste pages that weren’t in the book though.
