For some odd reason, I suddenly felt the urge to write a review for this series at 3:30 AM, so here it is.

This series is tough and doesn’t hold back, I love it. At the same time, I feel as this series nearly reaches the peak of enjoyment a reader can have but the more I read, the more I have some worries for the story.

Overall, most characters die. (especially the girls, like the others point out.) I like the brutality and how real death feels in this series but at the same time, it feels like death isn’t even possible for the MC in my eyes. During multiple occasions the MC will be in a life or death situation, while being on the “brink of death” or “barely be able to move” then he starts moving and throwing out moves stronger than he was before. While I said that deaths feel real in this series, I also have this strange feeling where I don’t even bat an eye at one of the MC’s companions dying. I know why as well… death is the most common thing in this series, seeing someone survive more than 10+ chapters is rare, let alone become a character I’m able to feel emotion for. (I’m currently caught up and there’s only one character beside the MC who I’d express any sort of emotion for.)

As I continue to read this series while being caught up, I can’t help but have the same feeling I have when abruptly reading a random Martial Peak chapter, not because of the quality but due to the feeling of the story going on forever. This stems from the whole setting itself, a seemingly endless building (Not too sure if it is a building but with it having floors I’ll just have to assume as much.) which the MC wasn’t even able to reach the end of despite having lived an entire other life in this building before.

Regardless of the rant above, I still love this series and would rate it very highly. 8/10
