But dont read it honestly…
Season 2 ends at ch114, its been on hiatus for very near 2 years at the time of writing and it just started to get REALLY good.
The characters in this story, while very likable and honestly pretty unique in personality and character design, arent that deep, the magic system is fairly run of the mill, it doesnt have a whole lot of depth to it, but! It DOES follow its own rules! And rarely bends them (i think i remember like a single small detail early on that was bent a bit but thats it)
The whole lack of character and magic system depth is a double edged sword, if you really like super structured and in depth magic systems and want to immerse yourself with something like that? Probably not for you.
If, like me; youve been reading fantasy/magic manga for years, it honestly strikes a really good balance between brevity and occasional required variables for spell casting when its a tense scene or major plot point. The story does a really good job at fairly naturally moving from one geographic location to the next, basically the vibes are on point throughout the story so far.
Small quip I have is theres a little lack of what I like to call landmarking in terms of power scale. What I mean by that is, every opponent that MC interacts with up to ch114 is either stronger or at around equal strength to them, and so far there havent been any “circle backs” to an opponent that didnt grow meaningfully or a problem that MC couldnt handle at the time. There are a couple but theyre pretty self contained into like 3 chapters so theres not much of a difference.

If you’re lookin for a more in depth, layered, dramatic story? Consider boommarking amd skipping for now and reading when you’re home sick or something.
