A brief description of the manga The Lone Necromancer:
The world is ending. Monsters from legends appear everywhere. They eat people, conquer the streets, and begin to make dungeons in the buildings and subways. If you could choose one job in this decrepit world, what would you choose? For a “necromancer” extinction is my playground and death my wealth.

This manhwa dont make sense. At around chapter 94 the mc is level 19 and needs to take 10 levels building size monster out that is level 27 and the mc dont level up. The MC do a lot of fighting. Takes 2 bosses out in a row and wont level up. Then there is some character that levels up like crazy while is not combatant and have like 20 clones that all level up fast over 10. While the girl tiger fighter is only level 15 and the friend thief/priest is only level 12 and both take part on everything with the MC. First level up was like 10 goblins and level 2 was like 100 orcs or something. Boss give 1 million gold or 2.8 million and so on but not enough experience to level up.
It’s the most annoying part of this series where the level up is too slow and makes no sense. It’s like 1 monster 1 experience point and dont matter if the monster is goblin or hell hound. Like level 1 vs level 27 but still be like 1 experience point
It’s good
Necromancers
I’m honestly surprised this isn’t more popular.
“Lone”
as in he is the only necromancer in whole world
The necromancer trope is really common, I wouldn’t call this solo leveling’s copy, but you can say this manhwa draws inspiration from it. As a note, Seoul Station’s Necromancer’s novel is released before Solo Leveling’s, so I wouldn’t say necromancer trope in Korea started with Solo Leveling. Besides, this manhwa is more similar to Solo Station’s Necromancer, hence I judge this manhwa to take more inspirations from Seoul Station’s Necromancer rather than Solo Leveling.
Anyway, enough with the rants. This manhwa deserves more appreciation. The pacing is fast, maybe too fast for some people, but I hardly see any plot holes, at least from what I saw. It’s entertaining and a little bit insightful. When I read the novel I always get this feeling that the author slips in a little bit of philosophies through the MC’s thoughts. I guess it’s there to reflect the MC’s wisdom. Oh and be prepared for fights, a lot of them, and there are almost no filler chapters so far.
My rating? Well, I may be biased, but…
9.9/10
May not be worth bookmarking for some of you, but to me this manhwa worths your time and attention.
at first i was like “oh its just solo leveling who cares whatever” but its not bad. obviously “takes inspiration” from solo leveling but its still got a pretty decent quality of writing despite that. 7/10 so above average
Damn good Art and Story, I love how each country has its own Players, the Chinese are really looking and acting like the Cultivation or Murim World here. 😂👌
honestly I think it’s way better than what the other people are saying here. it is definitely worth hype and I believe you should try it
Alr back with the reviews. This is nice but it’s one of those stories where you know the conclusion just not how they get there. There’s no feeling of risk or possibility of death for any of the main cast so don’t look for that here.
this is a great power fantasy which its great at but that also limits its potential as the characters lack development from loss additionally the MC has this feeling to him that he’s playing a game when in reality the world he’s in should be falling apart
finally the villains are fairly 2d with little to no connection between them or plotting.
all of this is to say it’s good entertainment but just okay writing 6/10. Worth a read if your passing time
This is so good, this is definitely not “solo leveling” there are so many differences between these two. This Manhwa on its own is really good, give it a chance.
Really don’t like that I caught up, it was so nice.
People gone hate on this cause they feel like its a ”copy” but its just following a genre, its the same as isekai mangss feeling like copies, this is dope tho, consistently gets better as you read
Every masterpiece has it’s cheap copy
from a first look it looks like solo leveling from wish but i heard good things about it so lets give it a try
