Finally read through! Not because it was slow to read, I was keeping this in reserve for the right occasion. It was worth the wait! I loved this, and felt like it got steadily better the whole way through.

This is a character-driven story, and the plot mostly revolves around politics, but it’s not dull or dry. There is always tension, as conflicts seem to be resolved, only to merge into new conflicts. Everyone has flaws and real motives, people make mistakes and then try to redeem them, there are genuinely difficult choices, and false choices. There is romance, and adventure, and battle, and treasure, and mysteries being slowly revealed. I highly recommend, I’d be sad if you missed it.

Summary: Salaryman is teleported to isekai, finds out he is the descendant of a fugitive royal, and has the right to accept the marriage proposal of a gorgeous exotic queen and live in luxury in a land of magic that is less advanced. He accepts, but finds out that royalty confers responsibilities, and even the good life isn’t easy. Can knowledge from modern Japan be enough to survive sword and sorcery?

Placeholder review as I re-read. I enjoyed this a lot in spite of minor annoyances. The main premise is a wish-fulfillment tale that really appealed to me, and then the story was so much more. There’s a well-thought-out world that feels like a believable place, and the story focuses most on the politics. MC’s efforts to not screw up despite being very unprepared for his new life and responsibilities make up much of the plot, and it’s a good choice. MC is relatable and not an idiot, which is a giant relief. Strong recommend and three cheers that it’s updating again

There’s literally zero ecchi in this except maybe somewhat revealing dresses and suggestive scenes. it’s a political drama where it’s a constant battle of wits between characters, which I’m loving

This is a good one. If you don’t like politics, though, it’s not for you. Pretty much 80% of it is negotiations and political intrigue. It has a decent romance that could be geared into a harem, although it’s slow building. Plot armor is believable. All in all, I didn’t get bored with it. Definitely a slice of life / Harem / Romance genre though.

Extremely cool manga, I am rarely hooked up on one. MC is sometimes dumb and emotional, his wife is much more stable and sane, but the rest is just great.
