It had a good start but after the MC father died it goes down hill fast.
Reading this caused me pain. Some people found it charming, and bless their hearts, I just couldn’t do it. It’s a perfectly mid isekai, the art is ok, the story exists, the characters…. ugh. Nothing about this is intelligent; in the first arc MC is 3 and is treated completely like an adult; in the second arc MC introduces the idea of a trap to the village hunters (not a specific tech, just the idea of using a trap is a stunning new invention) in a world with 19th century tech. I think you’re supposed to not think and just have feelings about it. I had bad feelings and passed.
Summary: salaryman isekai as a noble baby who is treated as an adult. He can see anyone’s status in a status window. Tropes follow.
This is mid, its not great but not bad either. Your mileage may vary.
I’ve read this manga many moons ago dropped around 30 chapters, mc is unlikeable dogshit, the world building boring mid af, side characters are shit too.
Worse, the kind of people that kept praising this dogshit of a manga, is the same kind as praising arifureta is a “good” read
You know what’s even disturbing about this manga, the fact that Mc is never grown up even after 100 ch like “that” other manga, is most likely the author Is a freakin shotacon, you know a PEDO!
I don’t understand the hate. I’ve had fun with just about every chapter and like most of the characters. 1) It’s isekai, so you’re already suspending your disbelief. 2) People who have created nothing love to pick at any little thing they can to justify being mean-spirited people than just enjoying something for what it is. This story is fun, heartfelt and interesting without having to rely on gore and nudity that a lot of haters probably surrender their so-called refined tastes to enjoy. This is among the cream of the crop for isekai and I really like it. I’m just sad that I caught up and have to wait for chapters to come in piecemeal.
Wow! A lot of hating of this manga going on for sure. That said, I like the story line. The characters, including the MC are as good or better than most isekai. From here, it looks like the MC’s lord is going to continue wars to “unite” the whole country rather than do anything with the territory he already has. Typical warlord asshole mindset. That leaves the MC to eventually go up against him. Sort of a Nobunaga/Ieyasu remake from what I can see.
The only thing that kept me away from this is because mc is a toddler looking with gay vibe around him. What kinda man do that kind of body language? It’s fkn cringy when you learn he’s an adult from our era

This is getting a ton of hate and I don’t know why. MC is building an empire by finding talented people. That’s it! He’s not some busted character by chapter 5 who’s breaking the world through plot armor. The characters are hated by some, because I think they actually have their own personalities, instead of being cookie-cutter followers. His haircut does annoy me to no end though. How can you be rich and have a bowl cut? But I digress. It’s a great manga, with wonderful worldbuilding and a group of people you can root for. I bookmarked it. You should too!

If you find a manga to enjoy then yea. Dont expect much strategy and plot. It horrible plot armor and shit enemies make this feel like glazing MC and his vassal. Growth and stuff doesn’t even make me feel interesting because I know good damn well they will win anyway.
For the world building, we got a chinese alike empire where they are in a state of decline. Each segment of the Empire is very, VERY INDEPENDENT and can go to war anytime they likes. The army in this manga is dumb because the soilder have only 1 type of armor and not many different cultures or relgious that shape the empire well
Character power and ambition are very bland. Mostly too loyal to get me interested. Like how tf you acquire 3 powerful vassals, 2 genius strategists (also the strategy is pretty horrible), and another agent for politics and scheme. Someone has to kill you bc you such a threat.
